PAT HOLLAND
Hugely popular local lad Patsy Holland played a huge role in our 1975 FA Cup triumph, scoring the winner in the 4th round against Swindon and playing a crucial part in the first goal in the final.
Patsy, who also scored when we lost in the final of the ECWC the following year, says
I spent fifteen years at the Club and know the passion and love the supporters have for their team.
West Ham supporters are the lifeblood of the Club and we need to support them regarding concessions prices.
Up the Hammers.
TONY CARR
Another local lad, a hugely popular figure at West Ham, and an Academy player in the 1960s, Tony was forced to retire through injury.
He then worked tirelessly for the Club as Director of Youth Development, overseeing the development of some of the finest players ever to wear the claret and blue including Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard Jnr, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and Jermain Defoe.
Speaking about the Club’s decision to remove concessions, Tony says
There are no supporters more loyal than those of West Ham United.
The Club could have chosen to reward this loyalty and encourage future generations of new fans, but instead, by removing concessions for our older, younger and disabled supporters, the Club’s decision shows a clear disregard for the fans who have remained loyal through generations, standing by through every high and low.
This move risks not only alienating those dedicated supporters but also jeopardising the tradition of loyalty being passed down to future generations.
