Fellow Hammers United members,
Following our recent committee meeting where we discussed our response to the Club’s communications proposal we unanimously agreed 4 resolutions and wrote to the Interim Chair of the ISC seeking an emergency meeting of the ISC.
We received a response from the Interim Chair to which we replied this morning.
Details of this correspondence is set out below and we will update you as and when we know more.

HU’s letter to the Interim Chair of the ISC:
“Further to our last ISC meeting where the ISC discussed the Club’s proposed changes to communications process and voted to reject it, Hammers United held its own committee meeting to discuss next steps - the minutes of this meeting are available online.
The following motions were discussed, voted on and were carried unanimously as resolutions:
1 That H.U. is encouraged by the ISC’s decision to reject Club’s proposal on communications. Moved, RB. Seconded LR. Carried unanimously.
2 That H.U. believes that the ISC should urgently consider whether or not the Club is adhering to its obligations with regard to consulting both collectively (with the ISC as one entity) and individually (under Structured Dialogue). Moved, RB. Seconded AM. Carried unanimously.
3 That H.U. believes the ISC must urgently debate the issue of “Consultation” (between the Club and the ISC), define what “consultation” must involve, reach agreement on the non-negotiable means by which such consultation must be conducted (by both the Club and ISC) and urgently convene a meeting with the Club to present its (the ISC’s) recommendations. Moved, RB. Seconded, DH. Carried unanimously.
4 That H.U. believes the ISC should urgently form a “Consultation” Subcommittee chaired by Andy B (as representative of by far the biggest independent fans group on the ISC) to be responsible for points 2, 3 and 4 above. Moved, RB. Seconded, DP. Carried unanimously.
In our capacities as Joint Secretaries of Hammers United, we are required to request an emergency meeting of the full ISC so that we can debate and vote on resolutions 2, 3 and 4.
We are confident that all of our ISC colleagues will appreciate both the serious nature of our resolutions and the need to convene an emergency meeting outside of our normal schedule.
With this in mind we would like to call an emergency meeting of the ISC to take place no later than Monday 31 October.
As Interim Chair of the ISC can you please arrange this meeting ASAP?”

Interim Chair of the ISC’s response:
“Thank you for your email.
I will canvas availability of ISC members to see if practicable to schedule a meeting ahead of ISC meeting of 10/11/2022.”
Hammers United’s reply to the Interim Chair of the ISC:
“We would really hope that given the importance of the subject matter (and a full weeks notice) all of the ISC groups will be able to attend, even if it means arranging for a substitute in the unlikely event that a usual representative can’t make it.”
