CHAMPIONS PLACE STONES.

Letter received from our member and letter we forwarded to Supporter Services at West Ham on their behalf. We have taken down photos and names to respect confidentiality.

Should any members wish to contact us regarding Champions Place Stones please Email us on membership@hammersunited.com.

Good Morning Jake, hope you are well.

Please find EMail from our member xxxxx which is self explanatory. I would normally comment in support but there is really no need in this instance.

I am sure you will agree Jake that the many hundreds of West Ham supporters who have paid good money for Champions Place Stones deserve better, much better.

I do hope the club treat this as a matter of the utmost urgency to ensure a speedy and satisfactory conclusion. If Hammers United can assist in any way please let me know.

Looking forward to a positive and prompt response.

Thanks again for your help.

Paul Colborne.

Subject: Champions Place Stone

Hello Paul,

Further to our discussion regarding my completely unintelligible family stone, I’m sending this mail detailing exactly why I am disgusted at the club and think something should be done on behalf of those that are in a similar situation to myself, and there are plenty of them from what I have witnessed at Champions Place.

I am also disappointed and concerned that the club continues to sell these sub-standard so called “engraved” stones, to unaware loyal West Ham supporters, who like me are (were) expecting to bring friends and family back in years to come to see their stone inscription.

You will see from the attached photo’s a new and now shot of our family stone, the now version being completely unreadable.

These were sold to us as “..a lasting memory…”, “…be part of West Ham…”, and as being engraved .

These are not engraved, they are stones with some form of lettering adhered to them, engraved means to cut or carve into a hard surface i.e. something which would take tens of years to wear out, not four or five years !

I would be very happy for you to take this grievance up with the club on my behalf, and look forward to, I hope, a positive response from West Ham.

Thank you.

Regards.
